3-Step Process
Program update and internal audit preparation. Smart Safety will directly assist your team with the following:
- review of the internal operations for all divisions and work on the organization’s scope,
- update of health and safety program to meet requirements of the desired standard,
- work on supporting documentation and forms.
Work on internal audit and associated evidence files. Smart Safety will directly assist your organization with the following:
- hands-on work on audit evidence files,
- mentoring and coaching of the relevant internal parties,
- workplace visits to assess the standard implementation,
- scheduling of the internal audit,
- preparation of the internal audit submittal package,
- expediting the audit process and submission of the audit files,
- work on post-audit action plan.
Preparation and completion of external audit. Smart Safety will directly assist your organization with the following:
- contacting external auditors and audit scheduling,
- facilitation and work on evidence files,
- mentoring and coaching of the relevant internal parties,
- workplaces visits and sites preparation,
- work with your team in coordinating workplace sampling,
- expediting the audit process,
- work on completion of the post-audit action plan and submission of the additional evidence as required.
ISO 45001
ISO 45001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. It provides a framework for organizations to manage risks and improve OH&S performance.
WSIB Safety Excellence
The WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) Safety Excellence Program is a structured initiative designed to help employers in Ontario, Canada improve their workplace health and safety practices. The program provides a framework for businesses to enhance their safety culture, reduce workplace injuries, and acieve compliance with health and safety regulations.
MOL Supporting Ontario's Safe Employers
Supporting Ontario’s Safe Employers is a voluntary program that recognizes employers across Ontario who successfully implement an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) in their workplace. Successful employers will be accredited by Ontario’s Chief Prevention Officer (CPO).
COR 2020
The Certificate of Recognition (COR) is a national accreditation standard that verifies full implementation of an employer’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System. COR is often used as a condition of contract by the public and private sectors accross Canada.
